Journal Day Three - Tuesday April 1
Today was marked by a memorable visit to Pearl Harbor. The band started by visiting the USS Bowfin, a World War II submarine dubbed "The Pearl Harbor Avenger". The band then performed and visited the USS Arizonia memorial.
A long time ranger at the Memorial made a very pleasing comment about the kids., She said that in all the years she had worked here, our kids were the most reverent, reflecting, and peaceful she had seen. She said she could have heard a pin drop at the Memorial because they were so quiet and respectful.
Please let use know how we are doing, feel free to email us at: webmaster@jeffinhawaii08.com

For
many J-Hawks this was a time of reflection and remembrance
Many
of our welcoming leis were thrown into the water in remembrance of
our fallen Heroes
The
Band of Blue has never been more silent or respectful
Many
of the sailors killed were not much older than our students. That
made an impression among many J=Hawks
